How we’re seeing the role
Building a great product with an amazing user experience has always been at the heart of everything we do. And we're now looking for someone to architect, assemble, and lead our product marketing function - a critical role across our product and go-to-market teams.
You'll be starting as a solo operator, reporting into the VP Marketing, working closely with the wider Revenue and Product team, building out a team over time.
What needs doing
You'll be both an operator and a leader, responsible for:
Building out your vision and plan for what product marketing excellence will look like at Jiminny
Researching and distilling insights from customers, developers, partners, and competitors feeding this back into the Product team
Transferring technical information into CS and Sales training and messaging
Creating and maintaining user and buyer personas
Collaborating closely with the product team on the product road-map, specs, and wider comms around releases
Owning the overall positioning and messaging to resonate with target customers
Owning the overall product launch cadence and announcement process
Creating persona-based communications for clients
Responsible for building a client comms strategy and calendar
Supporting sales with collateral, product training, and RFPs
Collaborating with customer success to produce customer stories, quotes and case studies
Create alignment and sustained momentum with our product and commercial teams.
The bits that we can’t do without
Proven experience in architecting product marketing in a B2B SaaS business
Strong commercial instincts, and know what and how to prioritise for short and long term outcomes
Proven experience constructing positioning narratives, successfully launching products, and supporting sales, marketing and customer success functions
A passion for great products, and the product marketing discipline as a means to get there
The bits that it would be great if you have
Working in the office or remote, you will understand the importance of self motivation
Great organiser of time and able to prioritise your tasks effectively
Natural curiosity to uncover key strategic priorities of top level executives
An interest in coaching / development and the tech involved
